Soap by Mom's Sales Policies

Availability and Delivery

Mom does everything she can to insure that every item you see is in stock and available when you request it.  Sometimes, though, due to weather or unexpected demand, she will run out of a certain item and won't have it on hand when you order.  While Mom can't guarantee that 100% of her products will be ready 100% of the time, she does guarantee that you will receive her best effort to fill your order quickly and completely. 
 
For items which you order that are "Temporarily Out of Stock", Mom wants to know what you wish to do about your order.  You will receive a note in your order asking you if you want to wait for your item, if you would like a subsitute item, or if you would like a refund.  Simply return this form in the enclosed envelope, and Mom will cheerfully follow your instructions.  If you included your email address with your order, Mom will contact you by email prior to shipment for your instructions.
 
You will not be charged extra shipping for an out of stock item.
 
Shipping, packaging, and handling charges are included in your total price and shipping weight. All of Mom's soaps, pre-packaged, are a generous 4-5 ounces of lathering bliss, except for "Dad's Close Shave", which is 2.8 to 3.2 ounces.  No two will be identical.  Each bar is hand cut, hand wrapped, and hand boxed.  There's no fancy packages, no big corporations; just simple, honest-to-goodness soap, reasonable prices, friendly service.  Shop with pleasure, and know you are getting a "one-of-a-kind" product without any gimmicks. 
 
Please note that "natural" and "hypoallergenic" do not necessarily mean the same thing.  Most customers find Mom's soaps to be more gentle than a comparable commercial soap.  If you have any skin conditions, allergies, or are under a doctor's care, it's always a good idea to consult the doc with any questions. 
 

Return Policy

Mom knows how tricky it can be to shop for scented items over the internet, and she wants you to enjoy your selections.  If you should choose to return one of your items,  Mom will be happy to refund the purchase price, or give you store credit towards your next purchase.  To ensure the sanitary conditions for all customers, Mom must insist on the following guidelines:
 
  • Returns must be sent back within 30 days of the shipment date.  Cash purchases will receive refunds, Visa/MC purchases will receive store credit.
  • Returned items must be unused and in original, undamaged packaging.
  • Returned items must be shipped at customer expense, and insured against damages.  If packages are lost or damaged, we can't grant a refund to you.
  • Store credit issued for a return must be used within 3 months from issue date.  Any unused credit will not be refunded after 3 months.

Sales Tax

Wisconsin residents please be sure 5.5% sales tax is added to your order upon check-out.  Mom hates calculating taxes, but it's the law.
