All of my soaps are hand stirred, hand cut, and allowed to dry in the air. No detergents or dyes are used. Most of our bar soaps are made by the cold process method, although some of our recipes we process with heat. All of the skincare items are hot processed. Some batches have a small amount of fragrance, others are the natural aroma. As often as possible, essential oils and powdered spices are used for scents or colors. When a blended fragrance is used, it is purchased from web sites devoted to soap making and the fragrances we use are skin safe in most instances. Any white residue is a normal part of the soap's chemical make-up, and can easily be removed by rinsing or gently scraping.
All of Mom's soaps are a generous 4-5 ounces of lathering bliss, except for "Dad's Close Shave", which is 2.8 to 3.2 ounces. No two will be identical. Each bar is hand cut, hand wrapped, and hand boxed. There's no fancy packages, no big corporations; just simple, honest-to-goodness soap, reasonable prices, friendly service. Shop with pleasure, and know you are getting a "one-of-a-kind" product without any gimmicks.
Please note that "natural" and "hypoallergenic" do not necessarily mean the same thing. Most customers find Mom's products to be more gentle than a comparable commercial brand. If you have any skin conditions, allergies, or are under a doctor's care, it's always a good idea to consult the doc with any questions. Ingredients for each item is availible from Mom, although exact recipies are confidential! Just email and I will be happy to assist you any way I can. Since no preservatives are used, your handmade soap will not last forever. For maximum benefit and enjoyment, please use your soap within one year, skincare within 4-6 months.
